Richard J. Corbi brings almost 20 years of experience in restructuring matters, distressed investing, business litigation, and bankruptcy. His tenure at renowned New York law firms like Proskauer Rose LLP and Lowenstein Sandler LLP, complemented by his clerkships in the District Court for the Southern District of New York and the Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of New York, have equipped him with great depth and breadth of experience. On top of this work, he is a trusted advisor to hedge funds, private equity firms, and lenders, excelling in structuring and negotiating critical financial arrangements. His experience handling Chapter 11 debtor-in-possession loans, rights offerings, company acquisitions and sales, and the purchase and sale of investments positions his clients for immediate and continued success by finding forward-thinking solutions.
Richard’s role as a law clerk in the Title III proceedings of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico is particularly noteworthy, providing him with unique insights into municipal and sovereign debt matters. This experience is invaluable for clients navigating similar complexities.
